At this point, the bailouts are Bush, even if continued under Obama anyway. As for where I would draw the line, not here, obviously. It is the, as of last count, $850 billion to financial companies that I would have done much differently, but it still needed to be done, which was why I supported it. IN reality, the entire bailouts could have been scratched, but then an actual depression may have loomed. Spending now, even a trillion, to avoid a depression that would have cost trillions more than the trillions in capital value already lost made these reasonable investments to make in our economy. It is degrees of severity we are talking here. We are avoiding trillions of additional losses, if Bush and the Democratic House would start running the bailout right. They agreed to it but so far are not handling it very well.LHwriteshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15890891351498768757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30510558.post-91855797189314074772008-11-15T19:04:00.000-08:002008-11-15T19:04:00.000-08:00You've painted it as a partisan issue, but with on...You've painted it as a partisan issue, but with only weeks left to an Obama presidency, the auto industry can be saved in January. The reason this has become partisan is that the Dems want the legacy of unpopular bailouts to be under Bush's watch not Obamas.

You've already called for a bailout of state and local economies. Now the auto industry. Where would you draw the line?Brucehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09331211089963297411noreply@blogger.com
